We strive to provide new and innovative solutions by listening to our customers needs and employing rapid concept to market practices.

How We Work

The Clayton Team manages a fleet of demonstration vehicles across the country. We meet with our customers at their facilities, to fully understand the needs of the workers. The procedures employed to fabricate or maintain an F-22 Raptor or a C-17 GlobeMaster will likely differ greatly from those used on a Boeing 737 or Apache Longbow. We need to understand those differences if we’re going to be able to provide the right solution. We put the tools and equipment into the hands of the workers, to ensure that they are in support of the solution. We need to capture the dust, but we also need to satisfy the user. As an Air Force customer once remarked: “If the workers don’t like using the tools, they just won’t use them.”

A Family Owned and Operated American Manufacturer

Starting with the production of Jim Clayton’s first vacuum cleaner design in the early 1980’s, Clayton Associates has been family owned and family operated. Through the years, Jim and Jan Clayton’s children have been involved in the business and helped it to grow. We have a tremendous team to support our customers, but you can always call our offices and ask to speak with one of the Clayton management team directly to resolve issues or provide feedback.

As the business has grown, we have always kept our focus on protecting our customers, and promoting American manufacturing. Clayton currently has its primary manufacturing facility in Lakewood,New Jersey, and keeps almost 100% of our raw materials and fabricated parts sourced locally to promote domestic job growth and to ensure that the next generation of our family and yours has the opportunity to work in the great United States of America.
